Stillness

Stones, in a hand thrown bowl. Clay from the Earth, stones from the Earth, one fashioned by human hands the other by the hands of time. Stones can hold our deepest secrets, they can comfort us with their smoothness as they warm to our hands or in a pocket, they can teach us of the beauty of stillness. I have always loved stones, their ancient-ness, where have they been? How old are they? What mysterious seeds of the universe do they carry? Oh lovely silent stone, tell me your story. 

Gratefulness...

This month, as I look back on March, I see that I have been filled with gratitude for so many things. A gray day, the rain and the rainbow. My job, to be able to serve and assist others in healing and changing their vibration. I am grateful for those who lift and assist me in my journey. The tiny moments, on a walk, at the grocery store, stuck in traffic with a wide view of beautiful blue sky. A tangerine, my pups, the sun glinting off the ocean. It can all be so glorious! I am grateful, I am grateful!

Friends and Wellness

I am so grateful for my friends. I am also grateful that I am able to spend time with them weekly and more. This week I went out for dinner on a rainy night with several of them. It was not easy to get to the restaurant, I had not been there before and got lost, parking was sparse and it was raining. After having a mini melt-down in the car I bucked up and tried again. Walking in to see them all smiling around a table and one spot open, saved for me, made it all worth it! 

The energy shared with others can be healing energy. Spending time with others who uplift and support us is a true joy. March is a wonderful time to open up to others and to bring emotional spring warmth into our lives. Embrace the light of yourself, others and of spring!

I am Grateful!

I am so grateful to be able to bring Reiki and Shamanism to my clients, both old and new. It is a joyful experience to see someone feeling more clear, refreshed and invigorated after a session. Both Reiki Energy healing or a Shamanic negative energy removal can reset and clear your body and energetic field so you can move forward on your path. My year has started out wonderfully with new clients and forward movement! Kaqinas! (Thank you). 

New Year's Eve...

Time for new beginnings, dreams and wishes. Time for 'out with the old, and in with the new'. I had two Negative Energy Extraction ceremonies today. A perfect way to start the year, with fresh, clear energy! My New Year's wish is for abundance and the opportunity provide Reiki and Shamanic healing to many more people. To assist in raising the vibration of others so they can lift those around them. What is your New Year's wish? 

The Winter Solstice

Since ancient times our ancestors have celebrated the winter solstice as the return of the sun after the longest night of the year. The solstice can represent for us the the release of what ever we have been carrying around with us from the past year. As the fire burns the yule log and releases the stored energy of the sun, we too can release that which has been holding us back, or darkening our aura. As the days now begin to grow longer I hope you can see the light within you brightening as well. Welcome Yule!

Reiki in the Streets!

It was Small Business Saturday and the shops on Termino and 4th had a grand day planned. There  were pop-up shops, a Tarot Reader, live music, and food. I was in front of Ambiance Spa (where my healing room is located) offering free, quick, chair Reiki sessions with Tibetan singing bowl sound healing. How magical it was to bring Reiki to the street! I was honored to be able to channel Reiki healing for the many who sat in my chair. Most of them had never had a Reiki experience and all of them appeared to be satisfied with their result. I made many new friends and brought Reiki out in the open. I am so grateful to my Reiki and Shamanic guides and helping spirits for using me as a conduit to channel Universal energy to lift others, it is an honor. There were smiles and there where tears, though in the end, there was connection and growth. Kaquinas! 

Bringing Reiki to the Street!

This Saturday, November 25, I will be at an event in Long Beach for Small Business Saturday. There is a block party, demonstrations, food and festivities from 11:00 - 4:00 on 4th street and Termino. I will be offering Burst Chair Reiki sessions in front of Ambiance Skin Care (where my healing room is located). I am looking forward to meeting new neighbors, doing some shopping and bringing Reiki to the street!

Finding new ways to to lift others through Energy Healing! 

It is Fall......

Fall is here in the Northern Hemisphere, the planet is turning on it's axis and the angle of the sunlight has changed. The harvest full moon was a beautiful sight here at the coast, shining and glinting off the Pacific Ocean. Our bodies know the flow the the seasons and now it is time to slow down a bit and heal. It is still warm in Southern California and there is still time to go for an afternoon walk on the sand as the sun sets over the water. I am grateful, tantay, kaqinas (peace, thank you). 

Chumash Family at the Aquarium of the Pacific

'Haku! Haku!' Had an amazing Saturday at the Aquarium of the Pacific here in Long Beach. It was the Mompetam, 'The Gathering of the Salt Water People'. My people, the Chumash were there and well represented. It was a balm for my soul to spend time with and be with my people, to hear them sing and tell the stories. Kaqinas! Thank you Aquarium of the Pacific for hosting this wonderful event. 

Negative Energy Extraction

The healing room is ready for my next client today. A Shamanic Negative Energy Extraction to clear and empower. Drum, rattle and my healing helping spirit will come together to set her energy right. 

The Deep Healing of Karuna Reiki

This is a view from a Karuna Reiki intensive I attended last weekend. The Energy channeled using Karuna Reiki can be more spiritual, gentle and healing. I channel both Usui and Karuna energy during my Reiki sessions for deep healing benefits tailored to the clients needs. 

The Healing Room is Ready

The healing room is ready for todays appointment. An hour of Reiki, a singing bowl sound bath, pendulum chakra clearing and an energy clear. Wonderful! 

A Healing Location!

Sandra - Medicine Woman now has a brick and mortar location. She will be conducting her healings at Ambiance Skin Care and Spa located at 3946 E. 4th Street in Long Beach CA. Ambiance is a full service skin care spa located in a charming area of Belmont Heights, Long Beach California.  Sandra has appointments available on Sundays between 8:00am and 4:00pm. I launched a Facebook page @sandramedicinewoman today as well as posting on my personal Facebook page that I have a new website. With my helping spirits hands at my back I feel the gentle nudge forward in my Shamanic practice.
